The Historic Trempealeau Hotel

150 Main Street
WI, 54661
The Historic Trempealeau Hotel is nestled on the banks of the Mississippi river. One of the few survivors of the 1888 fire, the Historic Trempealeau Hotel retains its classic charm, while still offering modern style.

Patrons line up at the vintage bar just like they did in 1888. Diners sample our broad menu from the screened porch. Upstairs, the modestly priced, European-style rooms, complete with homemade quilts and antique furniture, hark back to a by-gone era of elegant simplicity.

Or, for a more luxurious experience, our suites and Pines Cottage are equipped with Jacuzzis, air conditioning and cable television. The King Fisher rooms are standard hotel rooms located next to the public boat landing, about a mile away.

Founded in 1851, Trempealeau is a place where history is close at hand. Wooded bluffs, where French explorers established camp, overlook the Mississippi River, and sacred Indian mounds at Perrot State Park remind us of our nation's inception.

The beauty of the natural world and the pleasure of seeking a quiet respite from the fast-paced world are values held dear in Trempealeau. Our peaceful river town is a well-kept secret that we welcome you to discover.

Historic Hotel Room

Our eight cozy upstairs rooms, most with a river view, are European-style (shared bath) and modestly priced. With no in-room television or telephone, the rooms offer a step back in time, a lodging experience much like the beginning of the 20th century.*
